Scouts

I was involved with the Boy Scouts, both when I was a kid, and now as a father.  I don't agree with all the beliefs espoused by the national office, which is partly why I cut back on my participation, but I have seen boys go through some wonderful growth while involved in Scouts.  The program can be a wonderful experience when run by the boys and simply guided by the adults.  I had the privilege to be the Scoutmaster for Troop 718, CPC before it folded.  We were last involved with Troop 618, which is supported by a great group of adults.

In any case, Camp Pioneer is my favorite BSA camp.
